It is unfortunate that a number of Residents within the Borough of Telford and Wrekin and the UK have fallen foul to Door Step Conmen.
These despicable people seem to target the elderly or infirm often stealing money or valuables.
Other Residents have fallen foul to other cons such as lottery scams sent through the post, scams sent via email offering employment or promising shares in vast sums of money. These scams not only steal money from the individual but ask for details that could lead to identity theft.
Residents have also fallen foul of Timeshare scams and simpler scams such as texts that take credit from a persons mobile phone.
These scams and rogue traders not only take money, valuables or the identity of their victim, but they can – do and have ruined the lives of innocent people.
The likes of Trading Standards do an outstanding job to raise awareness of these issues, but it is our belief that we now need to go further to stop these corrupt individuals.
www.roguetraders.org.uk has been set up to raise the awareness of these scams, rogue traders and door step conmen.
Residents in Telford and Wrekin can share their experiences of scams, rogue traders, door step conmen with each other and with the rest of the uk.
It is vital that information, stories and experiences are shared to give the resident the upper hand and give assistance in avoiding corrupt activities that can and have ruined peoples lives.
Rogue Traders is now open to the public for use and it is free to use and free to share your experiences or learn from the experience of others so that you do not become another statistic to those in the con game.
Together we can beat these corrupt individuals and help safe guard each other. Your experience could save someone else from pain, suffering and financial loss, so share your experiences now.
