What’s The Difference
People are now well aware of the needs of Sutton Hill and they are about to be more widely reported after a follow up this morning by
Midlands Today
And
BBC Radio Shropshire
Whilst I have no doubt that the new administration intend to do their best by the estate, I do question why they are so keen now and I would strongly suggest it has more to do with the Full Council on Thursday and has more to do with the fast approaching AGM.
But I do find myself wondering and questioning elected members.
February 11th 2008 was the first radio coverage, since that date, not one elected member, who was actually elected to represent the residents of Sutton Hill has actually stood up to be counted and voice their concerns.
WHY?
Have they been whipped and told to follow the party line or don’t they care?
Sure as eggs are eggs, they will take their allowances. If there was a time a Borough Councillor should be speaking up, it was weeks ago, but instead, they have chose to keep their heads down.
Is their really a difference, I’ll tell you something, I’ve been in the thick of it and cannot only see political games being played.
I for one would like to know just what has the Council done in their call to get Housing Minister Caroline Flint to visit or in getting the attention of the PM.
Whilst I commend Cllr Graham Hossell for his Motion about bus passes, I must ask, why aren’t you speaking up for the residents that elected you.
Cllr Alan Mackenzie – you have kept your head down for too long, what do YOU propose to do?
