Is Britain Broken

The revelation that a very senior police officer has been jailed for 4 years after years of playing “The Race Card” and having colleagues afraid to say anything to him, then trying to stitch up some innocent who dared disagree with him in an argument. This is without any doubt an abuse of the trusted position he was placed in.

MP David Wright promising to address the housing needs of the borough, then 12 months later failing to keep his promise is another example of the lack of trust we have in our MP’s and again another person in authority who has clearly abused his position.

MP’s and their allowances scandal has caused considerable mistrust of every MP regardless of how good or how bad they maybe.

MP’s deciding to reduce university funding by approximately £450 million will adversely affect the future education of thousands of young people throughout the UK with even the highest achievers having a severely reduced opportunity of gaining a degree.

The controversy over global warming and the very questionable data that is used and the questionable time period in which the data was collected was collected, this linked with the thought that those gathering and preparing the data were paid to prove a point, which they think they have done, but what ever happened to the hole in the ozone layer, much was made of it initially then it seems to been dropped. Is it still there or has it healed?

MP’s taking part in a tv series called “Tower Block Of Commons” in some vane effort to make them look human and in touch. What a load of boll**ks, this clearly shows just out of touch each and every MP is with the normal man in the street, they have no idea what a real struggle is, this only serves to massage their already over flatted ego’s then they return back to their lives of luxury and will soon forget anything they may have learnt from the experience.

When was the last time you saw your MP voluntarily walking around your community, take MP David Wright for example who systematically ignored the likes of Sutton Hill.

ASBO’s, CRASBO’s , BASBO’s and every other kind of O’s are now in force in some poor attempt to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. the truth remains they are largely ineffective because they cannot be effectively policed and enforced and in many cases are seen as a badge of honour.

The law is clearly on the side of the wrong doer. What happens if a burglar enters your home, you catch them and introduce them to a right hook, get mugged in a community park and introduce the mugger to a right hook, the chances are the offender will walk away scot free and YOU will be given a criminal conviction that means you will have a record for life under the CRB check system and even the new system allows for rumour.   

Yes, to some extent we are in control of our own destiny, but the more I look at our Politicians at every level, I cannot help but feel that if Britain is broken or at the very best going in the wrong direction, it’s because of them.
