MP David Wright was embarrassed into finally holding the Telford Housing Summit on the 27^th November 2008. This happened after two years of campaigning.

MP David Wright made a promise to every resident throughout Telford and Wrekin saying the report from the Housing Summit would be ready for public consultation by February 2009.

Unfortunately, MP David Wright has decided that he is to busy to keep his promise and is failing over 10,000 people who are currently on the housing waiting list in T&W.

He has failed to keep his promise to every homeless person and has failed to keep his promise to every person who dreams of owning their own home.

Yet MP David Wright has issued a newsletter stating the housing Summit report is available for download on his website. This is a lie.

No longer can we accept MP’s making false promises without being held to account.

This petition is to raise the awareness of Telfords Housing needs and the fact that MP David Wright has lied in a newsletter and failed to keep his promise.

I now ask everyone to sign this petition and hold MP David Wright to account.

      David Wright delivers the report of the Telford Housing Summit

      In October 2006, residents met with MP David Wright. During

      this meeting he promised to deliver a Housing Summit.

      After great pressure from residents and two years later, MP

      David Wright finally arranged a Telford Housing Summit.

      MP David wright promised to deliver a report from the Telford

      Housing Summit held on 27/11/08 by February 2009.

      MP david Wright has now failed in his promise sending an email

      dated 30/06/09 stating he is to busy to keep his promise.

      This housing Summit was held to address the housing and social

      needs of Telford and I now petition the PM to ensure MP David

      Wright keeps the promise he made to the residents of telford

      and agencies who attended the Housing Summit.
