It is now being said that the Cheif Executive is issue a formal apology over the Town park issue that has brought so much embarrassment to them.

If this apology is made, will someone ih a high position also be held accountable for this debacle.

And now to the tune and lyrics of the classic song "I Apologise".....

If we stopped you passing by/

And asked the reason why/

You were in the park today sir/

From the bottom of our hearts dear/

We apologise.

If we demanded a C.R B./

'Cause we thought you were a P/

And behaved like stupid prats sir/

From the bottom of our hearts dear/

We apologise.WE AP..OL..O..GISE!

I'm not in the least bit surprised that they want to put that particular fiasco behind them (without anyone being sacked, of course).

We can all walk away thinking that we've achieved a small victory.

Meanwhile, in another corner of The Park.....

.....Telford Rugby Club are being persuaded to give up their lease and move their ground to the "World Class Sports Village" (between TCAT and Bennett's Bank).

So exactly what are they planning to do with the site?

....a cynic might suggest that additional development to the north of their existing plans for the area between Paddock Mound and Hinkshay Road/land to the east of Malinslee/the old Ever Ready site, would justify an access road south from the Town Centre (via the site of Malinslee House, which they're cuurently trying to sell).

But that would involve building a road through the Town Park, and we've already been told that anyone suggesting that they're planning to do that is "misleading the public".

Is this the same people who at the initail town park "Consultation" weren't to bothered about the Arena because it never affected them.

If it is the same lot, it seems very much like "I'm alright jack"

I've learnt the new nick name for the leader today, apparent they are now calling him

"butter balls"

because they melt when the heat is on.

The talk is, alot a very dissapointed with the New Administration.

Yuppp, or at least their representative at the nonsultation.

He actually expressed the view that he'd been invited there under false pretences because the subject of the rugby club wasn't under discussion.

And so a sports link into the park thus making it a comprehensive location,is to be broken. Obviously the rest of the usable park is under threat as a result of this link and because of future development.

So many of you seem interested in this we have recorded the above lyrics and added to them. We have contracted two delightful duelists, who may sound at times like they are duelling with each other.Itis hoped that it will be released in the form of a podcast on site.YOU DON'T GET THIS FROM THE STAR OR SHROPSHIRE RADIO!
