Our Open Council 1 Month, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 41
Its been promised and failed to deliver as usual.

I've been talking to three members of staff, three different levels of seniority and all said thatthey are not allowed to speak on issues of the council as they would be seen

"to bring the council into disrepute"

and it could easily cost them their jobs.

Naturally I agree that they should ensure they and their families are safe, they cannot afford to loose their jobs, but it is a clear example that things have not changed.

Things will not change John as long Wellings is CE and obviously has more power than the leader.

Andrew has been taken in by Bentley alleging that Denis Allen leaked information from a Cabinet meeting, an accusation that I understand can be discredited with emails that were exchanged between 3rd parties and Denis.

If these allegations are untrue what has Bently got to gain from making them?

Probably because, I am told, he wanted the leisure portfolio from John Minor when he was in the Labour cabinet and by getting rid of probably one of the most honourable men at Civic Offices, by his untrue allegations, he has succeeded in getting what he wants.
