Are Public workers right to take industrial action 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 41
I agree in part about Council Staff taking Industrial acion, especially when you see how the top earners in T&W have been increased.

But, ufortunatey, the cost of living is affecting everyone and could increased pay eventually to lead o job cuts and those on benefits, low and fixed incomes, then everyone else being expected to pay higher council taxes etc.

In one word yes, most council workers have had 10 years of below inflation pay increases and the time has come to say enough is enough.

Good luck to them - why is it only ever people on low and average pay who are expected to “exercise pay restraint”?

So there’s a credit crisis and soaring inflation - nobody seems to be proposing that a little restraint be applied to the fat cats responsible - can I suggest round their bloated necks?

Instead they’ll get the usual mention in the honours list and invitations to join government quangos.

When you you look at the top earners wage bill being increased by over £1 million this year I now fall on thir side.

Could this be a time when reserves could be used effectively?
