BRISTOW & SUTOR 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 3
Just who the hell does this company think it is? and doesn't it seem strange that our own Telford & Wrekin' Council uses this company to get any council tax amount owed. But this company flouts the law and T&W believes whatever bullshit story that this company tells them.
I have just posted an article on my own website entitled "WHO'S ABOVE THE LAW?" , this company has breached it's regulators code of conduct on several occassions , yet when residents complain to T&W , this company comes up with some BS excuse for their actions. After all it is the 21st century after all , isn't it about time we had laws that reflect it?
Our council want A QUALITY OF LIFE FOR EVERYONE , then why does not only our council , but also the company it uses , pray on low income families?
Why is this the only exception when it comes to being "means tested" by the courts?
why can't residents income be considered when paying any debt?

I have since discovered about this company the following from several sources which i will protect.

1) Telford & Wrekin' Council Chose this company due to it's heavy handed ways and intimidatory attitude.

2) They blatantly continue to flout their ombudsman's "code Of Conduct"

3) They blatantly refuse to compromise with consumers wich breaches people's legal rights.

4) They blatantly ignore people's request's to be "means tested" by the courts. Which is everyone's legal right to do so.

5) They have NO legal right to remove people's goods without a court order (this they attempt to do continuesly).

6) They claim to be people in Authority , THEY ARE NOT!

All this has been confirmed by several ex employee's of this company , reputable people who still work within this thankless industry.

I have today sent a letter to 10 Downing Street concerning this company and highlighting this companies continued illegal activities.

Anyone who has had any dealings with this company or if you know someone who has feel free to contact me. I'm sure John won't mind if you want to contact him instead concerning this also , at the end of the day, we can highlight a very real and serious issue. All matters will be in confidence.

I've never had any dealings with these people, but will look into them further, it would be very interesting to find out other peoples experience if they have dealt with them.

Thanks John , greatly appreciated m8. Yes companies like this have a "code of conduct" but these sods seem to think they are not included in this. I do know that our beloved Council choose them deliberately , due to their bullish ways and their intimidatory tactics. It will be interesting whatever you find out John , that's for sure. I am strong enough to take them on , but some residents , the more vunerable , won't have a clue how to deal with them.

I had dealings with them several years ago when a business partner and I used to let a shop off the council. We were a month late with the rent or something like that due to an oversight and the council sent these thugs round...I don't even think we had a courtesy reminder off the council first...it was many years ago but I don't remember any reminders...they turned up one afternoon demanding a cheque or they would take goods away.

Daft really it would been cheaper for the council to send us a letter....
