New Look 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 38
The site has had a bit of an overhall, with a new look. The new frame makes the site load that bit quicker with an average load time of 0.11 and brings up the content in one go.

We are also trying out graphic news letters, so please keep an eye on your spam settingsas some emails may not receive them. If you have any article you would like to submit, please email them to me and I will include them in the next news letter.

When you get to the bottom of the page, there are arrows on either side, if you click on them it will take yo automatically to he top of the page.

Well I'm sorry but I must be honest. I'm saying this here because otherwise I'll have no idea what other people think and they won't know what others think either.

In my view it's a bit of a train-wreck. I have Ad-block in Firefox and I have to block all the new stuff as fast as it's put up to be able to go on accessing at all without constant crashes.

I'd like to see dramatic simplification.

If lots of other people come in and say they like it, fair enough, I'll just keep blocking.

I don't quite understand that. There a no ads, just the same banners as before and stuff has actually been taken off. It works fine on my fire fox, ie on widescreen, normal screen and pda.

If you prefer the site as it was you can choose the

Revolution2

In the Template chooser on the left handside. You will NOT see any banners.

DO NOT CHOOSE the template PDA as the only way you will be able to change template after that is by deleting your browser history - fair warning given

Please note, TCW does not have any pop ups or ads other than the banners that have been used since the new site was built. If you do experience pop ups or anything else, they are from some other source NOT TCW.

I like it. Its clearer and crisper. I agree with Carol. Saying its a train wreck is very harsh, it is the same banners as before, stuff on the right like the olympics logo has been removed, maybe your security on your puter needs looking at.

But hay, you cannot please everyone all the time or some any of the time.

Keep up the work TCW.

Hi john i think that the site is alot better with what you have done to it it loads up alot quicker and all comes at once instead of before when you just got bit by bit. so kath if you think that its so much of a train reck then dont stop at TCW station, but i think that john does a great job with the website and i hope he keeps it up in the near and distant future keep up the good work john.

You're over-reacting a bit there Carol

I'm one of the biggest supporters of this site and have spread the word about it a great deal. I also have the greatest admiration for John and all that he does. I know that he knows that.

That has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that I find the site layout cluttered and far too busy, plus it has features that can cause problems in some browsers.

He certainly seems to attract the motherly protector types though, don't know how he does it

John, the Ad-block extension in Firefox isn't just about ads, I can and do block all the video thingies you put down the right and a bunch of banner-type things as well. Clocks, all that kind of stuff - don't want or need it.

I'm really just interested in the conversations that go on here, not the fluff.

But if most people like it, obviously you should go on doing it.
