I have re-visited the traffic situation via the closed bus lane in the Town centre. Apparently the press did not know so I asked the questions for them.I was told that a box of some sort has malfunctioned. For sometime apparently. Thus traffic is reduced to two lanes. I suggested that the lane is normalised so that all traffic can use it.Thus dealing with the congestion the council cites when saying it is necessary to construct new links to the A442 and A5.
Oddly enough the council has always disputed congestion when I have complained about blockage around the ticketed car parks at Asda, etc. The police colluded with this despite traffic backing into the lanes. They really get away with things when there is an apolitical public as in Moscow- sorry Telford.
I asked why the special arrangement of a lane for buses, taxis and security vehicles was necessary. It was bus priority directives I was told. I asked if this was council orders. The answer was that it was friendly persuasion by the government who paid for it. We know why. Or do most of you know why?.
Understand this. If there is the congestion that is now suggested to justify by-passing the town centre it is being deliberately created in order to acheive a Machiavellian end. Why should anyone doubt the natural tendancy for all authority to mislead and mis-use the public.Surely by now it should be clear that this is how the highway department operates. By the way this is also Councillor Bentleys responsibility despite the problems he has with the actuality of casualty statistics.Cobblers.
