Why Don't We Set Up Our Own Party? 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago

I know various users have discussed this in various forums , but no one has actually done anything , so i'm going to give it a go.
As some may know , to register a party , it costs £150.
So here are a couple of idea's.
If 15 of us organise to set this up , it would cost each of us £10 each.
If 30 do the same , it would only be £5 each.
For those of us that do , this payment would be for a lifelong membership as we would be the founders.
If any of you are interested , private message me.
A few idea's that we have already had for the name of the party is -:
Residents Independent Action Group
and
British Residents Action Group
and
Residents Action Party
SO COME ON FOLKS MAKE THIS HAPPEN , GIVE US YOUR FEEDBACK OR IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN IDEA'S
CHEERS
Graham

Your wrong on that Graham. People have tried to do something and have tried on a number of occassions.
If you look at TCW over almost 2 years, you will find that every meeting arranged has always been supported one way or another by the same loyal group of people.
These people put their hands in their pockets, give various support, so something has been done.
When it comes to a party, I believe it has to cover every issue and the name alone as to be inclusive something that sets itself aside from the others.
Quite frankly, you are very wrong to say nothing has been done.
I believe that TCW and its users have set a firm foundation for a political party and regardless of what any elected member says, it has had an influence on local politics, policy and practice.
So has something been, most certainly and on a wide variety of topics.

Ok John , fair play on that one , the reason i probably didn't know is the fact that it was only widely known to a handful of people then and i for one was never told nor invited.
I also would have supported it wholeheartedly no matter who ran it either.

Secondly John , things NEED to be done , not just spoken about. ALL residents need ACTION , as you know , they are all fed up , one way or another , I like many other residents , NOW WANT , a fully registered party that WILL play a MASSIVE part on ALL issue's.

And why , if people have indeed been out of pocket pushing this idea forward , has nothing been seen to be done.

Graham, you receive the newsletter the same as everyone else, the meetings times and dates were in that with around three weeks notice.
When it comes to getting things done, that is exactly what the TCW Team has done, its far from being a talking shop, for example, today is a quiet day - thank goodness for Sundays - only 100 emails and 10 telephone calls.
Quite frankly, your beginning to preech to the wrong person about getting things done.
We deal with many sensitive issues that do not appear on the forum, the Share holders receie updates and will receive a greater analysis as times goes on.
There is alot more that happens behind the scenes than many know.
I, TCW and the uses have remained true to the "Residents First" and "A voice for the little Man"
You say,
"And why , if people have indeed been out of pocket pushing this idea forward , has nothing been seen to be done."
Things have been done, just because your not around to see it is your fault.
Donations made to cover the web site cost.
Moneys Donated to local Good causes.
The new business Forum.
Electricity and gas bought for people in need.
School Uniforms bought for needy families
and there is a lot more.
So nobody can ever tell me nothinhg has been done or people are not seeing anything for it, they areand its the people that need it most.
This site is a pressure group that goes on all the time, many hours, not just putting its head over the trenches when its election time.

John , at no time did i recieve a newsletter concerning any meeting about the setting up of a residents party.
And you have missed what i have meant , i was NOT dissing any of the good work either yourself or others have done , YOU KNOW , that i applaude ALL OF THIS.
WHEN was this Newsletter? If it was Last November (give or take a month or so) , that might explain a lot.
After all i was discussing the point of setting up a political party and nothing else (hence nothing has been done on this subject and this subject alone).

The newsletter goes your email address the same as everyone else, the last meeting was 18th June, it was issued in email and in the forum.
A start has been made on a political party actually, you are not aware because you say you've not received my emails and it would appear you've not read the news pieces either, they are all on the home page, can be seen through clicking on blog etc.
It has been discussed in my own home with various people, by phone email and covered in some depth by the Shropshire Star.

Mmmmmm really , i have no hidden agenda , so i'm not going to tell any porkies concerning this. I NEVER recieved it , nor have i been active for the last year (due to family bereavement as you know) , so yes i have probably been out of touch with these things lately. But now i am back on the proverbial bike , I would like to know the ins and outs then , if that is the case.

And you said this Graham,
And why , if people have indeed been out of pocket pushing this idea forward , has nothing been seen to be done.
Are you trying to suggest something here.
